Socrel Funding Competition 2015 Reminder: Deadline 7 June.
Dear all,
This is to remind you that following a successful initial round last year (as featured in the BSA’s magazine Network), Socrel is holding a second round of the funding competition for Socrel members to undertake training or participate at an event that will further their academic career.
We invite any Socrel member, whether postgraduate, early career, or other, to apply for up to £300 to support training or event participation (up to 5 awards will be made). The bursary is intended to develop the individual’s career and the wider discipline.
Applicants must demonstrate the need for financial support. Priority will also be given for methods training and to members who have not recently received Socrel bursaries. The fund excludes events organised directly by the BSA and Socrel.
Please download and complete the application<http://bsasocrelstudygroup.onefireplace.com/EmailTracker/LinkTracker.ashx?linkAndRecipientCode=59rj4mcVTV9PruFOduOMqK6luPvZlxfYjSVqNAU2wdlh5dsfVhyaafBE6NiIAcoQUKVhJA98CEOUyzK5rSeb2JcmgljzXlsjNn8VUk4npGI%3d> and email your completed form to Sarah-Jane Page ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) and Peter Gee ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) by 7th June 2015.
Applications will be judged by the Committee Convenor and Membership Secretary, with awards being announced at the Socrel annual conference in July 2015.
This competition complements the pre-existing bursary scheme available for presenters at the Socrel annual conference.
Please carefully consult the guidance and further particulars available here<http://bsasocrelstudygroup.onefireplace.com/EmailTracker/LinkTracker.ashx?linkAndRecipientCode=qGzrsjAS9yPoP4mEXGLcmRS3%2bxUV3Ci6hQ380TJsEuWzYb5GbxNTJkLzkei5tyMat7GFFjqdIJQ%2b%2fWQFAxnQ1FhlSk%2bX8NRgQuxsYyzUcgE%3d> before submitting an application, and address any enquiries to the Study Group Convenor (Sarah-Jane Page: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>).
Best wishes,
