NERC is the UK's leading funder of environmental science research, investing £330 million each year in cutting-edge research, postgraduate training and innovation in universities and research centres. Our scientists study and monitor the physical, chemical and biological processes on which our planet and life itself depends - from pole to pole, from the deep Earth and oceans to the atmosphere and space.
NERC are looking for Content and Engagement Manager to work across NERC in tandem with its research centres, while collaborating with its fellow research councils, and other strategically-funded institutes and partner organisations. In doing so, it ensures that NERC shares its expertise and best practice, and optimises the return on the investment and support received from the UK taxpayer and Government.
The Content and Engagement Manager is part of the Content and Engagement team within the wider Communications team and Corporate Affairs directorate, whose remit is to build awareness of NERC's role in the environmental sciences and demonstrate its value to the science and business communities, Government, and public stakeholders, in line with NERC's corporate strategy.
The role involves managing the curation, creation and delivery of a broad range of content to effectively engage target audiences so they appreciate NERC's contribution in the furthering of scientific insight, so society, business, industry and governments can act knowledgeably and responsibly in relation to our natural environment.
