Dear colleagues,
In the last year the Solar System Advisory Panel (SSAP) has submitted to
three consultations on which we have sought community input:
* BIS - Creating The Future: A 2020 Vision for Science and Research
(Capital Investment) (July 2014)
* STFC - Computing Survey (February 2015)
* BIS - Nurse Review into UK Research Councils (April 2015)
It is the view of the SSAP panel that transparency is an important part of
our remit and so we have prepared the full submitted documents for release
to the community. In the latter two cases we have documented the
background to the consultations and the processes we followed to develop
the attached submission. Please note that membership of SSAP changed
between the July 2014, and 2015 submissions.
Due to current STFC rules governing purdah we are unable to place these on
the SSAP space on STFC's website. As a temporary measure we have placed
these online and they can be accessed at the following addresses. Please
also note that to comply with rules around purdah, this circulation has
originated purely within the community and has not been directed by STFC.
Since we are unable to post to ASTROCOMMUNITY until after a new government
has been set up please feel free to circulate this email to any colleagues
who may not have seen this.
