Research Data Manager post
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and suitably experienced individual to establish, promote, and manage a service incorporating all aspects of research data management including the organisation, description, preservation, and discoverability of research data.
Working as part of the Research and Education Support Team within Information Services, and based in the Kings Norton Library, you will be responsible for shaping and developing the service and engaging proactively with Cranfield's community of researchers in the provision of training, guidance, and support. You will be expected to assist and advise researchers on the development of research data management plans, and on compliance with funder policies.
Working in partnership with colleagues across the University, including Information Services and the Research Office, you will cascade the knowledge and skills required to empower the Library's Information Specialists to offer expert support to researchers on the effective governance and management of data.
Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to contact John Harrington, Head of Research & Education Support ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>, 01234 754477) for an informal discussion about the post.
Closing date for receipt of applications: 8 June 2015.
Interviews are expected to take place on 19 June 2015.
