Hi Hannah,
Thanks for your reply. I think we're on the same wave length! I'm going to broaden the query out to other US based discussion sites so hopefully someone somewhere has cracked it! Live data feeds from various suppliers into a single order form would certainly solve a lot of problems here and help create a one stop shop, cutting hours of staff time searching for titles as well as giving academic staff access to new scholarly publications in P or E. It's certainly the way to go and should be relatively straight forward to achieve in the era of live API systems integration. For the sake of stability it would be ideal if there was a new generation LMS system capable of achieving this and long term it would work better than creating a bespoke ordering form at local level.
Thank you for taking the time to reply and I shall most certainly keep you informed.
Best wishes,
Neil

Subject: Re: [lis-e-resources] Online ordering forms and integrations with LMS
Dear Neil
We haven't done this at University of Portsmouth but I would be very interested to see any responses you receive. We currently use Capita but are undertaking an LMS review, and something I am really keen on is finding ways to create one order form for academic staff using live data feeds from our suppliers, rather than them having to use vendor platforms.
Regards
Hannah
