The Role
Working in a small, agile team of specialists in geographic analysis to:
• Create and maintain a global portfolio of data products for geographical and BI applications
• Provide technical support, training and consultancy work on data and software products
• Support the sales team creating demonstrations and presenting the results to prospective clients
• Help develop new innovative products and solutions
• Provide advice and carry out consultancy work on behalf of our clients
• Write content for on-line help and training courses, create videos for support and marketing purposes
Requirements
• 3 years+ experience with databases (SQL server, Postgres, Oracle)
• Competent with writing code – especially with java script, c#, python and experience of web mapping technologies
• Experience with GIS products (Geoconcept, ESRI, MapInfo, QGIS, FME, etc)
• GIS, maths or computing graduate
• Fast learner – able to pick up new technologies and products and adapt to changing business requirements.
• Excellent communication skills. Being able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Agile, organised approach. Able to quickly respond to internal and external requests in a calm, professional manner.
• Good attention to detail.
