Programme for BIGG meeting 9 and 10 May, 2015

10 a.m. to 12:30 pm: Business meeting, Commodore Hotel, Llandrindod Wells
(http://www.hotelcommodore.co.uk/index.php/en/). We are not being charged
for the room, but there is a small payment of £2.95 per person for tea,
coffee and biscuits.

Talks:
Keith Nicholls on a graptolite death assemblage from Llyn Geirionydd
Mike Howe on databases.

Lunch: Herb Garden Café (http://www.herbgardencafe.co.uk/). If anyone has
dietary requirements other than vegetarian/vegan, please let me know.

Afternoon: Visit to the Radnorshire Museum and then to Llanfawr Quarries.
These are Ordovician (Sandbian, Nemagraptus gracilis Biozone) black
mudstones of the Llanfawr Mudstones Formation. Well-preserved graptolites
are abundant, and there are also trilobites, sponges and other fossils.

Sunday: Visit to Meeting House Quarry, The Pales, Llandegley, near
Llandrindod. Silurian (Ludlow, scanicus Biozone) Llanbadarn Formation
siltstones containing abundant graptolites and often inconspicuous
echinoderms.

Please let me have any agenda items by Friday 8 May. A powerpoint
projector will be available, and I can bring a microscope if requested in
advance.
