The University of Nottingham is very excited to announce our Interdisciplinary Eighteenth Century Research Seminar to commemorate the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo:
Dr Richard Gaunt, University of Nottingham: 'Nottinghamshire and the Great Peace. Reflections on the End of the Napoleonic Wars'
Dr Gaunt is the co-curator of the current Lakeside Arts Centre exhibition on the Battle of Waterloo, which opened last week exhibiting objects kept at the King's Meadow Campus Archives. More information can be found here.
The seminar will be held on Wednesday June 17th at 18:00 in the Hogarth Room at the Hemsley Staff Club on University Park Campus.
The seminar will be followed by a dinner at the Orchard Hotel on University Park Campus at 19.30. Although you don't need to let us know if you will be attending the seminar, if you would like to join us for dinner please email Charlotte May ([log in to unmask]) so that we can book for you, it would be lovely to see you there!
