DG-Santé funded MSc on the BRIDGE€-Health project.
DCU School of Nursing and Human Sciences is offering a fully funded
24 month MSc by Research on European child health information. This
is part of the DG-Santé funded Bridge-Health project. The title is
'Making Children's Lives Visible in Europe'.
The work is on three issues :-
* Review of possible sources of relevant administrative and research
data on child and adolescent health across Europe
* Review of possible indicators of child and adolescent health which
can be measured on cohort data, administrative data, registry data
and research data
* Prepare a report on the extent and value of a range of possible
data sources on the lives of children, and adolescents in Europe
Fees (EU level) will be paid, and a tax-free stipend of €16,000 a
year is provided.
Candidates will have a good degree in a relevant subject, a good
knowledge of child health, and an interest in child health
measurement and information systems. You will be able to write to a
high academic standard. Some experience in research would be necessary.
You will work with Professor Anthony Staines and Dr. Mary Rose
Sweeney in the School of Nursing and Human Sciences in DCU. You will
have a key role in delivering part of a major EU-funded project, and
the work will include the preparation of papers for publication, and
travel to meetings of the project. We are seeking a candidate to
start as soon as possible, and by 1st September 2015 at the latest.
