Applications are now being accepted for 2 ICON Doctoral Scholarships in the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business, UCD, Dublin, in the domain of Business Analytics. The scholars will undertake research related to the Business Analytics of Big Data for Clinical Trials.
Each scholarship will be worth €18,000 per annum plus tuition fees for the four years. Those receiving an ICON Doctoral Scholarship will not normally be in receipt of other scholarship support. Scholarships will be open to all PhD applicants in the domain of Business Analytics, though potential applicants should be holders of a primary degree(s) containing a high level of statistical content. The award of the scholarship will be based on academic merit and potential as judged from the applicant’s academic transcript, CV, letter of motivation and references.
Applicants will have a minimum 2.1 primary degree in a subject closely related to the proposed area of study or an appropriate Master’s degree (or equivalent) from a recognised higher education institution or evidence of academic standing and/or relevant professional experience proving the applicant’s suitability for doctoral studies When the ranking of candidates is unclear, interviews may be held. Applicants for the scholarships must have been offered and accepted a place on the UCD School of Graduate Business PhD Programme for the coming academic year before the Scholarship will be awarded (however, applicants do not need to have an offer of acceptance to the PhD Programme before applying for the Scholarships).
The closing date for applications is Thursday 4th June 2015, and these should be emailed to the ICON Chair of Business Analytics, Prof Michael O’Neill ([log in to unmask]). In your application please include an up to date CV including a list of referees, and a letter of motivation.
