Make a difference as a GSK statistician
GlaxoSmithKline is one of the world's leading pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, whose statisticians and programmers play a critical role in Research and Development at UK and US sites.
We have multiple opportunities for applied statisticians to work in the non-clinical area of drug development as a member of the Statistical Sciences Department. All roles will require working with scientists, often in multidisciplinary teams, on developing the active pharmaceutical ingredient and formulating it into medicines for many diseases.
Quality by Design is an initiative from the Food and Drug Administration which needs greater modelling of our processes. This requires statistical skills and hence the demand for statistical expertise is increasing in the non-clinical development of our medicines with statistical leaders provided for our major projects.
Our vision is to see statistical thinking as an integral part of decision making and knowledge gathering in Research and Development.
Within GSK, Statistical Sciences is part of Quantitative Sciences, a group which also includes clinical statistics, clinical pharmacology modelling and simulation, epidemiology, health economics modelling and statistical innovation. Our statisticians have the opportunity to take part in world-class methodological research, as well as to fulfil a vital role on our multidisciplinary development teams.
We are searching for talented statisticians, at a variety of experience levels, who can demonstrate innovative thinking, excellent communication skills, and who are able to influence project strategy.
We offer competitive salaries, benefits, training and development, and are committed to the continuous development of your technical skills and competencies. Opportunities are available at our sites in Ware in Hertfordshire in the UK, and in Upper Providence/Upper Merion in suburban Philadelphia in the US.
