Based in the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience the group have both a rapidly expanding trials portfolio and increasing strength in trials methodology, primarily in mechanisms analysis and stratified medicine. The successful applicant will have in depth involvement in all aspects of trials, working closely with researchers on preparing funding bids, giving statistical advice on trial design and analysis, taking the role of senior statistician on several new and ongoing studies, helping to shape and deliver teaching in trials and in contributing or developing relevant trials methodology.
The appointment will be at Senior Lecturer level so applicants must have a PhD, a substantial publication history in peer reviewed journals, experience of working as a successful trial statistician and good grant record as a Co-Investigator. Enthusiasm and excellent communication skills are essential as considerable negotiation with research teams is required to ensure trials are conducted to the appropriate regulatory and academic standards. The appointment is open ended and only those shortlisted will be contacted.
The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications, within the Grade 8 scale, currently £48,743 to £56,172 per annum plus £2,323 per annum London Allowance.
This is an indefinite contract.
