A postDoc position will be available to work with Fabrizio
Santoro at the Italian National Research Council (CNR),
Istituto di Chimica dei Composti Organometallici, Pisa,
Italy, in collaboration with Roberto Improta (CNR-IBB, Naples)
The project will deal with multichromophoric systems
considering both their optical properties (simulation of electronic
and vibronic steady-state spectra) and the quantum dynamics of
typical photophysical processes (energy transfer, internal conversions).
Applicants should have (or be about to receive) a PhD in theoretical
chemistry or physics, or in a related area. We are seeking candidates
with significant expertise in the study of electronic excited states
and possibly, quantum or semiclassical methods for nonadiabatic
processes. Skills in Fortran coding will be an advantage.
The position is for one year and will approximately start in
June-July 2015. According to Italian laws there will be a
competitive examination considering the CV and an interview.
Potentially interested candidates are kindly asked to contact
