Dear All,
I could not help but notice the new project deliverables for the C4SL Phase 2 project,
"In accordance with the C4SL framework there will be two key pieces of toxicological work;
Derivation of low risk C4SL screening numbers: Where sufficient good quality, authoritative toxicological data exists to derive a Low Level of Toxicological Concern AND,
Selection / derivation of minimal risk C4SL screening values: Using traditional toxicological approaches in line with UK policy.
Currently expected deliverables are circa,
• 10 -15 LLTC derived C4SLs
• 35 - 40 Minimal risk-based C4SLs"
Has DEFRA/DCLG now given up on a universal "LOW" risk approach for Part 2A and Planning uses?
How will a "MINIMAL" risk C4SL differ from the published S4UL?
How will one apply and communicate the mixed-bag Minimal/Low risk approach in practice?
Best wishes to all,
David E Jackson
