Andy, I think that type of analysis would help me find out if there are any pairwise differences between each pair of conditions, but I am unsure if this will allow me to test a linear increase from condition 1 to 4. The [-3 -1 1 3] should be an F or a T contrast? What is also the rational for choosing this contrast?
