TRANSLATION IN HEALTHCARE - EXPLORING THE IMPACT OF EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES
University of Oxford June 23-25 2015
PLACES GOING FAST!
Due to demand, we have extended our programme and we have extra space for the following:
* 8 Pecha Kucha style presentations. A Pecha Kucha (Japanese: ペチャクチャ or chit-chat) is a very short presentation in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each (6 minutes and 40 seconds in total). This format keeps presentations concise, fast-paced and fun!
* 6 presentation slots. Traditional format (20 minutes presentation time followed by 10 minutes questions) allowing longer time to convey complex ideas.
Submit your abstract to Imogen Holbrook at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> as quickly as possible by Friday 24th April.
This conference explores how new technologies are transforming and reconfiguring the boundaries between patients, research participants and consumers, between research and clinical practice, and between public and private domains. It brings together a wide range of voices to discuss and think more deeply about the technological, legal, ethical, and social challenges raised by new technologies in healthcare. Our aim is to capture the energy and free flow of ideas that usually only occurs in the coffee breaks of most conferences, by providing a stimulating format and environment for local discussions and interactions with leading thinkers in the field. Our Activity Zone features ECOUTER - an online mind mapping event; ELSI 2.0 Helpdesk; Artist in Residence; Talking Wall; Selfies Competition; Haiku/Limerick competition; Walk and Talk.
