LSE's Department of Methodology is seeking a two year LSE Fellow in Qualitative Methodology.
Fixed-term from 1 September 2015 to 31 August 2017
The LSE's Department of Methodology was set up to coordinate and provide a focus for methodological activities and graduate student training at the School. The Department is an interdisciplinary group, with faculty working in the disciplines of sociology, anthropology, political science, statistics, social psychology and criminology.
The Department of Methodology seeks to appoint an individual with established research interests in research methodology or any social science discipline to a fixed-term faculty appointment in the subject area of Qualitative Methodology.
The principal teaching role is to contribute to graduate-level courses in qualitative methodology and/or research design. The LSE Fellow will contribute actively to the life of the Department of Methodology, enjoy working as part of a team, and possess the ability to adapt to its varying demands. Candidates should have completed their PhD by the time they take up the post.
Candidates should have:
* A developing record of research in a social science discipline or qualitative research methodology;
* Experience of teaching qualitative research methods;
* Commitment to high quality teaching and course development;
* Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
