Hi Sharon,
yes, they do have geo-ip monitoring in place - it's something you have to bear in mind when promoting it to people who run distance learning courses, with international recruitment, also to anyone who might set their students a task involving Box of broadcasts over the summer / vacation periods , just in case they'll be working abroad / go home to Greece for the summer (lucky them!).
Kind regards,
Kirsty

*** Apologies For Cross-Posting ***
The creation, management and access to digital resources requires a thorough understanding of the laws and practices relating to copyright. In fact, copyright know-how is crucial to digital literacy and therefore understanding digital copyright is vital to librarians and information professionals who are working in a fast developing, technology-driven work place.
Course highlights:
The programme will cover:
* Broad technological, legislative and policy related developments (including case law, open content and open data)
* Copyright laws and the global web - How do they work?
* Social Media - Key IP and licensing issues
* Digitisation and Copyright Workflow
* Carrying out an IP Audit - What, Why, How and When
* Orphan Works and Risk Management
* Licensing - How to get permission, from whom and how?
* The role of Creative Commons and other open access licences
* Scenarios, group work and plenty of discussions.
Please note: The emphasis will be on UK Copyright Law, although some international issues will be covered.
Why you should attend:
Building upon the Copyright Essentials and Copyright Masterclass courses, this course will provide more focussed training on issues relating to digital copyright, including an overview of the latest developments, relevant case law, other related rights and more detailed discussion about some key topical issues to help participants develop the necessary skills in order for them become more expert in copyright and ultimately to provide the necessary copyright advice and support across their organisation.
On completing the course, you will be able to:
* Understand the legal requirements of copyright and related rights, recent case law and their relationship to the digital environment
* Consider the importance of best copyright practice within a digital environment
* Understand the proposed changes to the copyright legislation and what these could mean for your organisation
* Appreciate how you can best support your colleagues regarding copyright issues they may have
* Recognise authoritative copyright resources

Hi Sharon,
I believe *you* don't have to do anything, because BUFVC themselves employ Geo-IP blocking to restrict access to BoB outside the UK.
I'm sure someone will tell me if my understanding is not correct.
