Hello Felix,
I think that your issue is related with Fawad Saeed one.
Were you running Torque branch 2.5 before the update?
According to Adaptive Computing, there are several steps that have to be
taken into account before the upgrade. You have to be sure that you are
running trqauthd daemon before starting pbs_sever with 4.2 version.
Moreover, you have to be sure that all your daemons, server and client,
are running 4.X version.
