Hi all,
Thanks to Jeremy for sending the DPM wishlist around.
I may have trouble joining today because the storage meeting is right in the middle of the Moonshot session at the JANET/JISC Networkshop (where I am), so it'd be good if Sam could chair, please?
Things I have for today:
0. Operational blog posts. We ended up with seven blog posts for (what is now) last quarter which is almost a green metric. Almost!
1. Deletion rates (may need input from ATLAS and/or Brian but I think Brian is on leave or something somewhere far flung?)
Shaun says he has improved the deletion rates for ATLAS at RAL, it is now 20 Hz.
Remind me how files are deleted: is it SRM-individual (slow), SRM-bulk (but here DPM loops anyway, internally, it is not a single transaction AFAIR), or WebDAV? What sort of rates do we get with these? 1Hz is too little; 10 Hz would be better.
What about dCache and StoRM?
2. Following up from Jeremy's DPM wishlist, are there things on this list that GridPP can/should contribute to? As we are in the postwahidian era, we should revisit our DPM contributions (I don't mean to imply Wahid was the only person contributing, far from it, merely that Wahid leaving will impact our contributions).
Secondly, are there things that would be high priority for us?
2.5 Speaking of Wahid, who will/should inherit Wahid's monitoring?

3. Can you think of things that would be good milestoney things to do for this quarter (April-June) that we can send to Pete? Things like "deletion rates to be 10Hz or better" or "all sites upgraded to DPM 1.8.9, dCache 2.10.X, etc."
4. AOB
