Dear All,
This announcement of a Symposium on the Geology of the Marches, based in Ludlow over the weekend of 2-4 October, 2015, is likely to be of interest to many of you. Of particular history of geology interest is Professor Martin Rudwick’s lecture on the Saturday morning.
In addition to the history and geology interest, supporting this Symposium has a political dimension as the Shropshire Museum Resource Centre in Ludlow is facing budget cuts and loss of its full time geology staff. It is important to demonstrate to Shropshire County Council the wide public interest in Shropshire’s geology and its seminal place in the history of geology.
Regards,
John Henry
