Hi all,
I have a question about something B. Patenaude et al (2011) state in their article. They say that "the coordinates of each vertex can [...] be mapped back into any other space (e.g., group mean)." I am curious about whether you would consider this approach as being more accurate in finding differences between groups rather than projecting onto the MNI template?
It seems to me that it must be ideal to conduct vertex analysis on a study-specific surface template that would be created somewhere from the initial segmentations in FIRST.
If so, my question is: how the creation of this study-specific surface map can be carried out? I went rapidly through the flags of the different commands of FIRST and I am not quite sure of the hows of such a procedure.
Thank you very much!
Shady
