Asylum seekers and refugees in the EU and beyond' in Venice, Lido, 19-21 June 2015. The registration deadline is 21 May, with an early bird deadline of 25 April. More details are below.

The EIUC is an interdisciplinary centre of excellence formed by 41 universities from all European Union Member States focused on the promotion of democracy and the implementation of human rights worldwide. EIUC concentrates its activities in three areas: education, research and training, and providing high level action-oriented and interdisciplinary education for students worldwide. EIUC's main educational programmes are the European Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA) and a new Master in Democratic Governance - Democracy and Human Rights in the MENA Region (DE.MA). Each programme has its own specificities and addresses major challenges in the human rights and democratisation debate.
Furthermore, EIUC has become a recognised international centre for advanced training dedicated to senior officials of international organisations and other human rights professionals. On this occasion, we have launched a new training seminar on asylum named "Dublin III, two years on. Asylum seekers and refugees in the EU and beyond". The aim of the training is to provide participants with tools for better understanding and use of the Dublin III regulation and of the other relevant international and European legal instruments governing this highly sensitive policy area.

Its international faculty includes prestigious lectures in human rights, such as Paolo De Stefani, researcher and aggregate professor on international law at the School of Economics and of Political Science, University of Padua; Kristina Touzenis, Programme Manager at IOM; and Lorenzo Trucco, President and co-founder of A.S.G.I. (the Association for Legal Studies on Immigration).
