The semi-conductor properties of graphene are also quite exciting in the electronics world!

Subject: Graphene - the new asbestos?
Dear All
I read with interest the announcements about the new "wonder substance"- strong, lightweight, heat and chemical resistant - and soon to be manufactured into everything from clothing to building materials, light bulbs to telecoms. Govt has announced £200M of hard earned tax funding into research in the hope that UK will become the world centre for the manufacture of.... graphene!
My question to all you toxicologists and health risk assessors out there is, what is the current thinking on graphene toxicity?
Best wishes, David
