Hello List
We are helping out with a local community garden project. They are looking to use Certified PAS100 compost materials.
The PAS100:2011 specification includes a upper limit lead PTE (potentially toxic element) quality standard for general use of 200 mg/kg.
Has anybody had any dealings/discussions with WRAP, AfOR or BSI to see how this Lead PTE sits with the allotment C4SL of 80 mg/kg?. It sits well with the Residential C4SL with home grown produce of 200 mg/kg.
I'm not particularly concerned about the lead PTE at 200 mg/kg for compost, but just interested if the allotment 80 mg/kg C4SL has been raised with WRAP, AfOR or BSI or whether they have already officially commented (couldn't find anything on their websites).
(should I really be posting this on 1st April !)
Thanks in advance
Chris Dainton
