Subject: [BBC-HISTORY] Academic requirements for pre-1989 BBC archives Public Meeting
Dear listers, (apologies for any cross posting)
Some, but probably only a few, of you will have seen Richard Hewett's report on the use of pre-1989 BBC archives which was the result of a Research Education Space (RES) initiative between JISC, the BBC and the BUFVC.
http://repository.jisc.ac.uk/5659/
The report was published earlier this year and addresses some of the major concerns of those of us who work in this area.
There will be a public meeting to discuss the report and its implications.
The details of the meeting are as follows,
Academic requirements for pre-1989 BBC archives (JISC, BBC-RES, BUFVC)
Public Meeting
The Foyle Suite,
The British Library, St Pancras.
Thursday MAY 21st 6pm.
Speaker - Dr Richard Hewett (the report's author)
This is a public meeting but space is limited so if you would like to attend can I ask you to contact me directly so I can confirm your place?
Best, Hugh
