Caretaker/Cleaner/Driver – 25 hours a week (Job reference MP 15/27) - 12 month contract
Shropshire Archives looks after over 9 kilometres of books, documents, photographs and maps relating to Shropshire’s past and present, and the Records Management service manages Shropshire Council’s own records.
We are seeking a person to take on the role of caretaker, cleaner and driver working at Shropshire Archives in Shrewsbury and at an out store in the Telford area. You will undertake cleaning and caretaking at both sites, and will retrieve and transfer items as required. You will also assist in producing archives and books for use by members of the public at Shropshire Archives.
You will need to have experience of caretaking and cleaning, with a flexible approach to patterns of working. The ability to carry boxes and heavy volumes is also essential, and you will need access to a suitable vehicle such as a small van or estate car.
