The Senior Production Analyst is responsible designing production solutions for operational reporting that have been prototyped by the analytics team. This role also includes structuring, designing and manipulating data sets prior to loading into the Analytics Datamart. The role involves the production of datasets to support production reporting and ad-hoc analytics
The role also entails liaison with clients and outside agencies, in respect of the data collection and validation process. Other associated ad-hoc analysis may be required, ensuring accurate data processing.
Continuous production environment improvements are an important part of the role, providing support to team members.
Running and maintaining production processes, including fault finding and optimisation
Accountabilities & Activities:
• To load into SAS or other datasets the data received from Bupa data warehouse and other source systems as scheduled
• Download and exchange data through secure mechanisms with the NHS and other appropriate organisations
• Develop and test new production codes
• To run and establish quality checking procedures on the production processes.
• Liaise with other departments eg UK IT, to ensure that data flow from UK Data warehouse and other source systems are managed appropriately.
• Understand the importance of and adhere to information governance rules, including the importance of data lineage.
• Make recommendation for improvements, actively looking for opportunities to optimise operation service and products
• Ensure quality control processes are effective, robust and appropriate.
• To provide ad hoc analysis as required.
• Partner with colleagues in other teams and departments on the delivery of new Bupa projects.
• Administer other supporting systems and service run by Operations, eg Work-request systems – SharePoint
Qualifications, Training & Experience:
• Proven strong experience of using SAS and processing large complex and intricate datasets
• Experience with health care and finance data sets an advantage, experience in a database programming language with SAS being strongly preferred
• Experience in working with other RDMS such as Oracle or SQL Server, PL/SQL
• Excellent organisational ability in a fast-paced environment
• Proven experience in working on multiple concurrent projects.
• Proven experience in process change, including reconciliation of outputs
