Announcement: Nomination Deadline*
Dear Members of the Seismology Section,
We have had a great response to the 2015 AGU Fellows nominations, and have an upcoming deadline of 15 April for Seismology Section awards and for nominations for the Gutenberg Lecture.
The *Keiiti Aki Early Career Award* <http://www.mmsend61.com/link.cfm?r=1021846602&sid=72022156&m=9773477&u=AGU_&j=27010087&s=http://seismology.agu.org/aki-award/> recognizes the scientific accomplishments of young scientists in the field of seismology. The award is for recent graduates with a Ph.D. degree awarded in the three year period prior to 1 January of the year of the award presentation.
The*Paul G. Silver Award* <http://www.mmsend61.com/link.cfm?r=1021846602&sid=72022157&m=9773477&u=AGU_&j=27010087&s=http://seismology.agu.org/silver-award/> for Outstanding Scientific Service is awarded jointly with Tectonophysics and Geodesy and is given annually to recognize a scientist who has made outstanding contributions to the fields of geodesy, seismology, or tectonophysics through mentoring of junior colleagues, leadership of community research initiatives, or other forms of unselfish collaboration in research.
