IT Services is looking for two Senior Analyst Programmers to join the Web Platform Team within its Software Solutions group. The team has recently embarked on an exciting and ambitious project to build a Drupal self-provisioning platform for use across the University to host websites supporting administration, outreach, public engagement, and research dissemination.
As a Senior Analyst Programmer in this role you are a highly skilled Web developer with a strong track record in the full lifecycle of web development and a thorough knowledge of technologies for CMS-based web development using Drupal, PHP/MySQL, Javascript, CSS, and HTML. Ideally you are also expert in Object-Oriented PHP using Symfony and source control using Git and SVN, as well as being versed in CI workflows and methodology.
Articulate, with excellent interpersonal skills, you will work closely and effectively with customers where required, working independently and within teams to take a lead role in the technical design, coding and testing of developments. You understand the working practices, procedures and standards that underpin high quality development and value testing and quality control.
Educated to degree level or with equivalent skills and experience, you have excellent problem solving skills, and are self-motivated with a proven track record in meeting deadlines within a multi-project environment. Your enthusiasm and flexible outlook, adaptability to change and ability to provide innovative solutions will ensure your success in this role.
