Dear All,
This is to ask if you (or any collegues) would consider submitting an abstract to the Young OR metaheuristics stream? This year's event is to be held at Conference Aston Meeting Suites (CAMS) at Aston University Business School, Birmingham, B4 7ET
The Metaheuristics stream will examine the usage of metaheuristics within the OR field to solve and optimise problems. Metaheuristic techniques for discussion could include (but are not restricted to):
Evolutionary Algorithms
Genetic Programming
Iterated Local Search
Artificial Immune Systems
Ant Colony Optimisation
Simulated Annealing
Tabu Search
We aim to examine the relationship between metaheuristics and what might be termed more traditional OR problem solving methods, this could include comparisons of techniques on benchmark problems or the examination of hybrid techniques. It is hoped to that the stream will cover a range of techniques and application areas including case studies on the use and adoption of the metaheuristics on real-world problem instances.
