Hi Martin,
I have just written a chapter in Lesley Clement's new book: 'Global Perspectives on Death in Children’s Literature', which is due out in August. My contribution is entitled ‘Old Age and Death in Northern European Picture Books: Achieving Empathy through Textual and Filmic Images of Sweden’s Kan du Vissla Johanna' but the whole book could be of interest. More details at: http://www.bokus.com/bok/9781138815247/global-perspectives-on-death-in-childrens-literature/
Best regards,
Penni

Hi everyone,
Can anyone recommend some good academic papers on picture books that deal with the death/ bereavement/ loss (not picture book titles, but writing about the subject)? It will greatly help one of our illustration students with her thesis.
Many thanks,
Martin
