Dear Jerome,
As you probably know, the Modelbase class inherits from the Database class, which itself inherits from the Sample class. So some of the variables used by the Modelbase class actually belong to the Database and Sample classes. Those are documented in Dr. Doornik's website (also in your Ox distribution):
http://www.doornik.com/ox/
Click on the link "Class reference" on the left and then the "Database data members" and the "Sample data members" links. The Modelbase class introduces its own variables and interestingly those do not seem to be documented as there is no "Modelbase data members" link. So at this point, the source code seems to be your only option. My suggestion is take a look at the "modelbase.oxh" header file in your Ox distribution starting from:
decl m_iMethod; /* specifies estimation method */
...
I hope this helps...
Best
Tamer

Subject: anyone has a list of internal variables of modelbase class and what they do?
Dear All,
From working with modelbase, I realized there must be a list of internal variables that modelbase introduces as evidenced by the minimal example's magical working without declaring certain variables first. Also, there must exist pre-defined labels such as Y_VAR etc.
I am wondering: does anyone have access to a list of these variables and what they do? I suppose as a last resort, I can go to the source code and back it out myself but I am sure there must be some sort of overview?
Thanks so much!
Jerome
