I too have reported to an HR Director in three posts. It was not without its
challenges in the first but was fine with regard to the other two. It
depends on the relationship you develop and ground rules. For me that was
the most difficult challenge for the first post. Steep learning curve for
both sides - me in relation to keeping one step ahead, HR director -
learning what OH was about - particularly with regard to professional
ethics.
