Hi
You can use the below to get a sense of speeds for various cities in the world THEN use the advanced settings to change browser/connection speed. Not ideal but I use it all the time to give me some variables to miss around with

Subject: [MCG] Connection speeds
Good afternoon all ...
Forgive me if this is a self-evidently stupid question, but is there any way of telling (even semi-reliably) via Google Analytics or otherwise, how fast your users' internet connections are? Failing that, are there any national statistics on average connection speeds. We're working on a project involving lots of video, and I'm keen to hit the sweet spot between quality of image and ease of access at the top end. What standards do you work to in your own institutions?
Many thanks in advance, and as always will summarise back to the list if it seems useful.
Danny
