Hello MCG'ers
(Who are bound to be spending this beautiful Spring sunday as far away as
possible from the glowing screen)
I'm working on a couple of projects, and for both I need to do a bit of
bottoming-out of my background research.
I'm looking for any studies or reports that evaluate the impact of museums
putting collections and learning resources online for schools and colleges.
I'm not so much interested in summative evaluation reports of specific
online projects, although I'll skim any I'm sent to see if there is any
juicy stuff on impact. What I'm most interested in is any data that shows
museums - by going digital - have (or haven't) made an impact across the
education sector.
For example, have they saved teacher time, enriched classroom environments,
fed creativity in Computing or ICT, and - the holy grail - improved
attainment and results?
I'll share and collate back to the list, as I expect it's something you
might like to know about.
Many thanks
Bridget
