Hi all
Yesterday, ARLG-SW held an event focussing on copyright. Along with excellent speakers (Emily Goodhand and Benjamin), we also were introduced to http://copyrightuser.org/ an independent online resource launched on 14 February 2014. CopyrightUser is aimed at making UK Copyright Law accessible to creators, media professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and members of the public. Along with the resources mentioned by Virginia, this is an excellent addition to the copyright toolkit.

Hi Bev, Fid and others!
I would strongly recommend that you use the Jisc Legal online course with the College staff – it is still available despite Jisc Legal no longer being a separate entity and it reflects the recent Copyright changes so it is in date (one of the last things that they did I think!)
http://www.jisclegal.ac.uk/Training/OnlineCopyrightCourse.aspx
You can also download it from Jorum for free – Copyright Training for College Lecturers
http://find.jorum.ac.uk/resources/19271
I also know that there is a Copyright activity in Jorum that was placed there quite recently by the University of Sussex based on snakes and ladders – Can I copy? A snakes and ladders do’s and don’ts game
http://find.jorum.ac.uk/resources/19277
In addition I compiled a current list of copyright sites and support for Jisc Digital Media and this is available here – Essential Information for Copyright Support
http://www.jiscdigitalmedia.ac.uk/guide/essential-information-for-copyright-support
There are loads of open educational resources in Jorum – and as it is Open Education Week it’s a good time to remember Jorum!
Hope this all helps!

Subject: FE library persons - copyright for teaching staff
Hello there
Would anyone be willing to share any training/hand outs/presentations that they do with teaching staff relating to copyright? I am specifically interested in further education colleges. I aim to develop a short session (or preferably a self-study online course) that can be done with those on teaching courses and on staff development days.
Thanks in advance of your help, and I hope it’s as sunny where you are as it is here on the Island.
