Dear Colleagues
In September 2014 the Knowledge Bases And Related Tools (KBART) Working Group released the Phase II of the Recommended Practice. This new version of the Recommended Practice adds information on how to present eBook title data (as well as book series and conference proceedings), consortium-specific packages, and freely accessible content (including open access).
There are many updates to existing fields, new fields added, changes to file naming requirements, etc. This information provides useful information to libraries and library service vendors (such as discovery systems, OpenURL resolvers, and library ERM systems) in order to make the content more identifiable, discoverable, and usable by libraries and their patrons.
To know more about the Phase II Recommended Practice (KBART 2), please come and join us at UKSG
