We have an exciting opportunity for a new post (2 year fixed term in the first instance) to support SGUL’s Research Data Management developments. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with relevant skills and experience to develop and implement SGUL’s Research Data Management strategy and policy. A key element of the role will be working with academics and researchers to embed excellent research data planning and management into the Institution’s culture.
Your extensive experience of higher education and understanding of scholarly communications processes will be crucial to this role. You will also have excellent communication skills and be experienced in the technical elements of software systems and statistical tools. You must be aware of trends and developments in Library and Information Services supporting all the activities within the Higher Education sector.
This is a small academic Library supporting a very active community in both the University and NHS local Trusts.
This post will be part of our growing research support team and will be key to establishing and implementing policies around research data management and will take a lead in advocacy among researchers.
Salary range: £31,342-£37,394 (plus London allowance)
