Hi Liz and all,
I know many of you will be familiar with JUSP (www.jusp.mimas.ac.uk) - just to clarify that we collect your JR1/1a/GOA usage data monthly from all the publishers we work with (currently around 70) and of course restate data for all institutions when we're informed of any bulk changes from publishers. Data from JUSP can be exported both from reports into Excel and from the JUSP SUSHI server into a range of 3rd party products.
I noticed that other users from JUSP-subscribing sites (Gloucestershire in particular) have responded - I assume that they will be using JUSP in their workflows? It is of course free to use for all UK HEIs.
Note of course that we observe some users who log into JUSP very infrequently and download chunks of data at a time - from our perspective this is just as valid as people coming in and running reports or gathering data daily but from a workload perspective at our end, monthly data gathering is how we proceed.
Ta,
Paul

Subject: [lis-e-resources] Collecting statistics of use - advise sought
Dear Colleagues
I would appreciate it if you could tell me if any of you collect JR1 / JR1A / BR1/ BR2 eResource statistics (whether of eJournals, eBooks or other eCollections) on a monthly (rather than annual) basis and if so how you do this. Are the statistics broken down to individual eJournals and eBooks? Do you achieve it programmatically or is it more manual involving spreadsheets or some other solution? Any advice will be happily received - even if it just to tell me why you don't collect the statistics monthly.
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards
Elizabeth
