italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
SIS Biennial Conference 2015, 28-30 September, Brasenose College and the Taylor Institution, Oxford CfP Panel – Giorgio Pressburger
The present panel focuses on Giorgio Pressburger’s “literary testament” - the trilogy published in two volumes -' Nel regno oscuro' (2008) and 'Storia umana e inumana. Nella regione profonda e Nei boschi felici' (2013), which is characterized by a high degree of intertextuality and of metatextuality. Pressburger’s trilogy not only refers overtly to Dante’s 'Commedy' and Svevo’s 'Confessions of Zeno', but also it offers insightful comments on his works and those of others.
We would like to invite colleagues to send in proposals on Pressburger’s work and similar texts (deadline: March 4, 2015).
