Hi Peter (and Tim), I agree about the need to be shrewd and cautious on detail and nuance, and the blinding consequence of swallowing large goods and bads . But then we must also look up from the detail occasionally - because there are so many encouragements not to - and say What's this really all about? And then we may have to use big woolly terms and make some dubious generalizations because that's the only way we can begin to think about the question. There's a dialectic between those two ways of thinking. Sorry for intruding with platitudes.. back to the slide deck.
