Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to inform you about the possibilities of Russian Quota Scholarship Program for international students to study in Northern (Arctic) Federal University (Arkhangelsk, North-West Russia) in 2015-2016 academic year. The programme sponsors international students, applying in 2015, by covering tuition fee and part of the living expenses during their studies in Russia.
Northern (Arctic) Federal University has been allocated a significant number of quota students for the coming years.
International students from partner universities are welcome to apply for a wide range of NArFU educational programs, including:
Degree Programs
Ø Russian-taught Bachelor, Master and PhD programs, including:
- Natural and applied sciences (Oil and Gas, Construction, Biotechnology, Power Engineering);
- Mathematics and IT;
- Economics and management;
- Social Sciences and Humanities;
Ø English-taught Master programs, inсluding:
- Environmental Risks Management in the Arctic;
- European Studies: Arctic Focus;
- Theory of Teaching Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication in the Barents Euro-Arctic Region and others.
Non-Degree Programs and Courses
Ø Non-degree English-taught semester programs:
- Russian Studies (30 ECTS, Autumn semester)
- Diverse Arctic: Local Challenges – Global Changes (30 ECTS, Spring semester)
Ø International Schools of the Russian Language and Culture
Ø Intensive Russian language course;
Ø Internships on PhD level in the required field (Russian/English-taught).
One-year Foundation Program
Course of Russian language and preliminary training in basic subjects required for an academic program of student’s choice (more information).
There are two options for applications:
1. Submission of application package to the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo / Russian Embassy in the candidate residence country: : http://rs.gov.ru/missions
Deadlines for submission of the documents vary depending on the canditate’s country of residence, and candidates are asked to refer to the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in their respective country (http://rs.gov.ru/en/missions). Deadline for applicants selection procedure for Europe is 1 April 2015.
2. Submission of application package to NArFU International Office (only for graduate and postgraduate programs, including short-term programs and internships). Deadline – 1st of June.
