Dear all,
Allegralaboratory.net is s a collective of academics, an association and an online experiment founded in 2013. It explores creative ways to fill the ‘dead space’ that exists between traditional modes of academic publication and ongoing scholarly and societal debates.
To continue our exploration of 'the anthropology of the State' initiated last November (http://allegralaboratory.net/?s=anthrostate), we are calling for the contributions of anthropologists working on this very timely topic. We seek work that is suggestive of new ethnographic strategies for accessing the constitutive fabrics of the state. In order to deepen our ethnographic engagement with 'the state' and its margins, we are looking for short ethnographic pieces that illustrate the emergence of 'the state' across a wide range of places, things, persons, and the multiplex social, cognitive, and affective relations between them.
We are open to any format: from a simple blog post, to field notes, interviews and books reviews! Send your proposals to: [log in to unmask] before 6th April, 2015.
We look forward to reading you and making your work more visible in the anthro-blogosphere!
