Our client a global CRO that provides high quality global clinical research support and strategic development services to pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies is currently looking for a qualified statistical programmer II for their office in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. All candidates must have CRO or pharmaceutical experience.
Position Description:
The Statistical Programmer II position works under the direction of the Statistical Programming Manager and Assistant Statistical Programming Manager. Programming tasks should be performed as directed and in an efficient manner assuring quality of work. Individuals will be expected to demonstrate effective communication with his or her immediate supervisor and other company personnel.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
Statistical Programmer II Tasks:
Programming
• Create and validate datasets.
• Create and validate advanced figures.
• Assist in overseeing programming assignments as directed.
Statistical Programmer II Tasks:
Programming
• Perform initial programming (IP) to produce tables, listings, and basic graphs.
• Perform QC programming (QCP) to validate tables, listings, and basic graphs.
• Program SAS edit checks for data cleaning.
• Complete project documentation as required.
• Support programming needs within company.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with coworkers.
• Perform other programming tasks as directed.
Quality Control/Quality Assurance
• Perform manual quality control (MQC) review of table, listing, and figure packages.
• Assist with other quality checks as directed.
• Complete project documentation as required.

Education/Experience Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in statistics, mathematics, social science, or related field.
• Experience working in a contract research organization (CRO) for at least one (1) year.
