Datatech has a number of Data Science requirements across the UK.
In these roles you will be responsible for statistical modelling, development and analysis. The successful individuals will have proven machine learning and optimisation algorithm experience together with BSc or higher in a numerical subject and have strong knowledge/experience of statistical tools such as SAS, R, SPSS and SQL. Ideally you have exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop or Hive.
Role & Responsibilities
• Use advanced analytical techniques such as Clustering and Logistic Regression for data modelling to support strategic decisions.
• Thrive towards new algorithmically driven product features such as recommendations and merchandising.
• Collaborate with the Lead Data Scientist to deliver individual projects and assist analysts in delivering their projects.
• Working within a big data environment
• Develop and build propensity models, segmentations and decision algorithms to support business users
• Collaborate with the Insight Manager to lead all analytical aspects of an insight project from conception to delivery
• Develop solutions across optimisation, forecasting and predictive modelling
• Understand difficult business problems and fully prototype data science solutions.
• Guide future development through scientifically analysing the effectiveness of various approaches.
• Assist various developers with performance optimization and complex query development.
