Media framing and use of metaphor in conflict: politics, science, sport

The Department of Communication Studies and the PhD program in Anthropology and Communication are organizing a half-day seminar on media framing, use of metaphor and narratives of conflict. It focuses on how media and public communication frame conflicting narratives in the fields of politics, science and sport. Among the topics we will discuss case studies such as the Scottish referendum on independence, genetically modified food and biotechnologies, or news on doping and sports.
