Hi Stuart,
I've just re-tested this on my live system (April 2014 CU3) and I'm seeing exactly the error as per the article below - "Remote assertion must match local assertion". Do you not see the error at all? Are you able to successfully publish a badge to Mozilla? It would be good news if the bug has gone in the October release.
Unfortunately I don't have an October 2014 test system yet, but our April 2014 live system is far from vanilla (chocolate chip?) having been upgraded for about 10 years, and has many customisations. I'd be interested to know if this works on a vanilla April 2014 release; I have a more recently installed and less customised test system, also on April 2014, and this is showing the same error too.
Best
Chris

Subject: Re: Error when testing Open Badges in Blackboard
Hi Chris, Graeme,
This may not help but I'm testing Achievements in a vanilla October 2014 instance (our minimum likely system if we deploy achievements in the near future - both remain to be seen), and I can not replicate this result. Is the error appearing in the interface?
In my test, Issuer Name is defined in the Achievements settings and is not available to set as indicated in the linked known issue (https://blackboard.secure.force.com/apex/btbb_articleview?id=kA370000000H3U5) , so we don't enter that when selecting a reward.
There are other annoying issues which imo prevent this tool looking polished and deployable at scale, but so far I cannot replicate this one.
Are your test systems upgraded or vanilla instances? Perhaps that's a clue? I will test today in Vanilla April 2014 and see if it's different for me there.
All the best,
Stuart Robinson

Hi Chris,
Yes, using the achievement tool. I’ve managed to get all the way through exporting to the backpack. Dave Sharples has found this known issue that is the same error message - https://blackboard.secure.force.com/btbb_articleview?id=kA370000000H3U5.
It’s very frustrating!
Thanks for getting back to me.
Best wishes,
Graeme
