Dear Hille, dear all,
it might be worth checking out the members of the African
Informationethics Network:
http://www.africainfoethics.org/
This is definetly not CCTV related, but ICT in general. But I found for
example the following article to be quite interesting:
Olinger, H.N. Britz, J.J. & Olivier, M.S. 2007. Western privacy and/or
ubuntu?: some critical comments on the influences in the forthcoming
data privacy bill in South Africa. International Information and Library
Review, 39(1): 31-43.
Maybe, it would also good to look into the literature on mobil phone use
in Africa. The ICT4D community might be another entry point (e.g., when
it comes to big data and development).
Best,
Michael
