Thanks everyone! I'll definitely be following up on several of these
suggestions.
Kervinen would be cool but he's more a musician/programmer from what I
understand. Loden isn't necessarily performance-oriented, which is
something we'll be trying to focus on. Silva seems very interesting, we've
had some sound poets perform for us before and it's always a trip. Poet
laureates is a good suggestion, but I'd be unsure of approaching anyone
before I knew how they perform on stage, and I'd assume there are extremely
able poets laureate who may not be the most convincing when heard live (I
saw a video of Loden that brought this to mind, though what poems I read of
hers were fantastic). I don't want to rule anything out per se, but we do
have an agenda of sorts that we want to stick to.
Please keep these suggestions coming! They really are helpful to us. I'll
send along some of my translations as thanks if I get 4-5 more names. ;)
